Wonders of Pakistan: Sharda Peeth Temple

    No one can imagine after visiting the site known as Sharda Peeth Temple, located 136 km from Muzaffarabad in the Neelam Valley of Azad Kashmir in Pakistan, that it was once a center of educational excellence. Today it still serves as a center of excellence in relation to the heritage it maintains. The site and the ruins themselves tell of its wondrous times and history.

In the 9th century it served as a university and knowledge center for Hindu scholars and students. It also serves as one of the amazing wonders that Pakistan bears that is out of the public view.
